In response to the Shaakuntalam’s disastrous result at the box-office, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a fresh picture on her Instagram. However, what caught everyone’s attention was her option- a shloka of Bhagavad Gita. It is about working hard and not thinking about the outcomes. In the image, Samantha is looking out of the window. The picture seems to have been clicked in a car, as it can be seen wearing a seatbelt.
In the caption, she wrote, “Karmanye vadhika raste Ma phaleshu kadachana Ma karma phala he tur bhuh Ma te sangotsva karmani.” It loosely translates to, “You have a right over your action, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your action. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction.” The same dialogue was used by Ram Charan in RRR in the scene where he is taken into the prison.
Soon after Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the post, her fans flooded the comment section with many messages in her support. They wished Samantha to be strong and hoped that she will give a comeback with her next film.
Meanwhile, Shaakuntalam, helmed by Gunasekhar didn’t perform at the box office as expected because the promotional material was not at all successful in generating the craze around the film and the talk from the audience was also very bad, which resulted in the film being an epic disaster at the box office.
