Salman Khan fails—Can Ranbir Kapoor achieve the 100Cr opening milestone? This is the question that is doing rounds in the trade circles of Bollywood. Ranbir Kapoor is all set to appear before audiences with his latest film, Animal, on December 1. As Salman Khan failed to achieve the 100Cr opening with Tiger 3, can Ranbir Kapoor achieve the 100Cr opening milestone? This is the question in Hindi film trade pundits.
It is widely known that Shah Rukh Khan scored the 1st 100Cr+ opener for Bollywood with Pathaan this year, and he broke Pathaan’s opening record with Jawan’s opening.
The Trade expected Salman Khan to enter this 100Cr opening club with Tiger 3 but failed. As said above, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal movie is getting released next week, and the movie has a chance to collect 100Cr opening on 1st day. Animal’s advance bookings have already open to a phenomenal response.
The film is expected to collect 40Cr+ net in Hindi. So around 50Cr gross is possible in Hindi all over India. If the movie opens with positive word of mouth, it can collect the remaining numbers from other languages. The Trade is guessing the film will contain 10Cr in Telugu, a significant contributor.
So, if we put the total 60Cr Gross, it is possible from India. Overseas, it is expected to open with around 4.5Million which takes to 36Cr+, and if the movie begins with blockbuster talk, the numbers will be much bigger than expected, and the film will likely cross 100Cr opening on Day 1.
T-Series and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures have collaborated to produce Animal. The film will compete against Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur, about the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, and his role in the 1971 war with Pakistan.
Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, and Tripti Dimri are among the other cast members.
