Before Salaar’s release, the Telugu the non -Rajamouli industry hit status was in the hands of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The action drama collected a solid Rs 160Cr worldwide and held the record for almost 4 years until Salaar overtook it. Salaar managed to break this record just within 1st week and with a Rs 213 Cr collection, it has now put a massive target for others to break.
After Baahubali 2 and Saaho it is the 3rd film to collect more than 200Cr worldwide share in Telugu version. It was a good comeback from Prabhas after hat trick failures. If we include all versions, the film has collected 600Cr Gross worldwide.
This target is not easy for other big stars even with pan India films. The content should be solid to go beyond Salaar’s collections. The next biggies that can break this record are NTR’s Devara, Prabhas’ Kalki, Pawan Kalyan’s OG, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Chiranjeevi’s Viswambhara.
Now it needs to be seen which film can go beyond these numbers. Practically Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 and Prabhas’s Kalki have more chances to break this. Other biggies also can break the record if the content is extraordinary. But definitely, the target put by Salaar is quite challenging.
