Prabhas fans have the best birthday gift they could ask for. Salaar Part 2 is officially on. Hombale Films confirmed the news by sharing a photo of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel together, calling it “a special day and a special reunion.”
“Wishing our one and only Violent Man, Prabhas a spectacular birthday!” the post read. “We can’t wait to see this DINO-mite duo back in action… #Salaar2.”
Prashanth Neel’s Next After Dragon
Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam will be Prashanth Neel‘s next project after Dragon with NTR. Once he wraps up Dragon, Neel will return to the world of Khansaar to complete the story. For more on that film, see the Dragon glimpse that showcased NTR’s avatar.
That Cliffhanger in Salaar Part 1
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire ended on a massive cliffhanger. The friendship between Deva and Varadha, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran, was set on a collision course, and the big reveal about Deva’s past left audiences desperate for more.
It’s one of the most awaited sequels in Indian cinema, and fans have been asking for updates ever since.
Salaar Deserved More
Salaar collected around ₹600 Cr gross worldwide, a solid result by any standard. But for a Prabhas and Prashanth Neel film that opened to positive word of mouth, many believe it should have gone much further, even towards the ₹1,000 Cr mark.
The film clashed with Shah Rukh Khan‘s Dunki, which split screens, especially in the Hindi belt. That, along with a few other factors, kept Salaar from reaching its full potential in theatres.
The OTT Addiction
The real Salaar wave came after its OTT release. Audiences watched it again and again, and it became an addiction for many. Scenes, dialogues and Ravi Basrur’s background score went viral all over social media, and the film’s popularity kept growing long after its theatrical run ended.
That repeat-watch craze has built a huge fan base for the franchise.
Massive Hype for Salaar Part 2
With the cliffhanger, the OTT cult following and a Prabhas–Neel reunion, Salaar Part 2 is set to arrive with expectations far higher than the first film.
Prabhas’ Packed Lineup
Salaar Part 2 adds to an already packed lineup for Prabhas. He has Hanu Raghavapudi‘s Fauzi, Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s Spirit, which arrives on Diwali 2027, and Kalki 2.
