Rekhachithram is a new Malayalam murder mystery thriller that started streaming on Sony LIV from 7th March in various languages, and it received a superb response from the OTT viewers, much like theatrical audiences. The latest news is that Rekhachithram will be streaming on Aha from 14th March.
Rekhachithram started creating waves on OTT
The film features Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles, while Manoj K. Jayan, Zarin Shihab, and Siddique also appear in crucial roles. The best and most talked-about part of the film is a cameo by Mammootty in an AI-created young getup.
Directed by Jofin T. Chacko, the film was released in theaters worldwide during Pongal and earned over Rs 50 crores at the box office. The film received immense praise from audiences and critics for its alternative history presentation around an old classic movie in Malayalam.
The Telugu audiences have just now known about the film, and it will certainly receive more fame as Rekhachithram will be streaming on Aha from 14th March.
Rekhachithram Story/Plot:
The film tells the story of Vivek, a Kerala cop who was previously suspended for gambling, getting back on duty to investigate a murder case. A Facebook Live video reveals Rajendran’s confession to murdering Rekha with Vincent’s assistance along with Jayan and two others in 1985, during the filming of Mammootty’s iconic film Kathodu Kathoram. Vivek investigates a nearly 40-year-old case in the rest of the film.
