It is widely known that in the recent days, the trend of re releasing the old super hit Telugu movies has gained momentum. Many old blockbusters of star heroes like Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu were released again and became good hits. Seeing the success of films like Pokiri, Jalsa, Kushi and Orange, many buyers came to buy more films.
At first, it worked for the buyers as they bought the rights for very lower prices and their investment was so minimal and brought them profits. The audiences also shown very much interest in re-releases. With this, many buyers got interested in doing business, but now they are facing very tough times as a few re-releases have already postponed with no craze and a few movies like Pawan Kalyan’s Gudumba Shankar were re released but did not work as per the expectations.
Another problem is: The producers are also asking huge prices for re-release and it is becoming a massive investment and the audiences are not showing the interest in re-releases which is making the buyers face heavy losses. The buyers should be careful and should not live in a dreamy world before buying old movies.
Recently, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s was announced to be re-released on August 5, 2023. The movie was said to have brought to the audience with 4K Ultra HD technology. But because of zero interest from the audiences, the re-release was stalled. This fantasy movie was released on April 14, 1994, and became the biggest hit. The film created a record by winning a total of 9 Nandi Awards.
