If we observe the previous Sankranthi releases of Ravi Teja, he has delivered several big hits in the past. His film Krishna (2008) was a sensational blockbuster, followed by Mirapakay (2011) and Krack (2021).
All three films became huge successes and emerged as Sankranthi winners. In 2023, Ravi Teja also played a key role in Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, which turned out to be another Sankranthi winner.
For Sankranthi 2026, Ravi Teja hoped to continue this successful streak. He even agreed to reduce his remuneration to ensure the release of Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi. However, the final result came as a shock.
Although the film received decent reviews and positive word of mouth, it failed to translate into strong box office collections. The overall business of the film is modest, at around ₹20 crore, yet it has still not been able to achieve breakeven.
Even after four days in theaters, the film’s daily collections remain in single digits. At this rate, there is no chance of the movie reaching breakeven worldwide.
Ravi Teja’s current form has clearly affected the film’s performance at the box office. His recent releases have failed to make an impact. Had the same film been released when Ravi Teja was in better form, it could have performed much better, especially with decent word of mouth, joining his previous big hits of Sankranthi season.
