Ranveer Singh: FWICE Withdraws Directive After Legal Notice

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has officially withdrawn its non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh following a legal notice served by the actor. The directive, issued after Singh’s sudden exit from Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, has been rolled back with immediate effect.

What Led to the Directive Against Ranveer Singh?

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees initially issued a non-cooperation directive after Ranveer Singh walked out of Don 3, the third installment in Farhan Akhtar’s action franchise. Industry insiders viewed the move as unprecedented, sparking widespread debate about actor commitments and professional conduct in Bollywood.

Legal Notice and Industry Mediation

Following the directive, Ranveer Singh served a legal notice to FWICE, challenging the organization’s decision. The legal move, combined with mediation efforts by the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), the Producers Guild of India, and the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA), led to a swift resolution.

FWICE officially rolled back the directive to de-escalate the dispute. The organization clarified earlier that it was a non-cooperation directive and not an outright ban on the actor.
