Ramayana Opening Day Pre-Sales: The Big Number Is Out

Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana's total worldwide pre-sales for the opening day reach 45 Cr.

Ramayana is picking up good momentum in its final days before release. Nitesh Tiwari’s epic has crossed ₹45 Cr in worldwide advance sales for its opening day, with India and overseas contributing almost equally.

Ramayana Opening Day Pre-Sales (Worldwide)

  • India: ₹23 Cr
  • Overseas: ₹22 Cr
  • Worldwide Total: ₹45 Cr

North America Leads Overseas

Overseas markets are pulling their weight. North America is leading the overseas pre-sales so far, and with overseas almost matching India’s numbers, the film has a strong global start lined up.

Maharashtra and Karnataka Lead in India

In India, Maharashtra and Karnataka are leading the advance bookings. Yash’s presence as Ravana is clearly helping the film in Karnataka, while Maharashtra continues to be the biggest market for Hindi films.

The Hindi version is showing good advances. But in the South, the big numbers many expected haven’t arrived yet. That trend still needs to pick up, and the coming days will show whether the southern markets turn around before release.

The Premiere Question

One big factor is still undecided. Premiere shows in India haven’t opened yet. The team has to choose between going straight with Day 1 shows in India, or holding full-fledged premieres on November 4, a day before the November 5 release.

That decision could change the opening in a big way. If premieres are added in India, Ramayana could post a much bigger start.

Can It Hit the 100 Cr Pre-Sales Mark?

The benchmark to watch is Dhurandhar 2, which crossed ₹100 Cr in pre-sales alone before its shows even began. Ramayana is currently at less than half that mark.

With a few days still left, and with premieres and a southern pickup still possible, the big question is whether Ramayana can reach that feat or not.

Strong Reviews Add Fuel

The film’s buzz also got a big push this week after its first review from India came in with a perfect 5-star rating. Positive word of this kind usually reflects in last-minute bookings, and the final days before release will show how much it helps.
