The Telugu film Raju Weds Rambai, which was released as a small-budget movie, has turned into a blockbuster hit at the box office. The film showed strong performance after a solid opening weekend and has now crossed ₹10 crore gross in its first week.
The film’s biggest success has come from the Nizam region, which contributed nearly two-thirds of the total collections. In comparison, the numbers from Andhra Pradesh and Ceeded areas have been relatively lower. To get more footfalls in these regions, the makers have announced a special initiative of free shows for women in select theaters across Andhra and Ceeded.
Directed by Saailu Kampati, Raju Weds Rambai received positive word of mouth from the premiers and achieved the blockbuster success. Produced by Rahul Mopidevi and Venu Udugula, the film stars Akhil Uddemari and Tejaswini Rao as the leads, while Chaitu Jonnalagadda, Anitha Chowdary, Sivaji Raja and Kavitha Srirangam in other key roles.
Suresh Bobbili has composed the film’s music and Wajid Baig handled the cinematography.
