Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan directed by T.G. Gnanvel is slated for release tomorrow worldwide. The film has raised good hype and expectations with the trailer and songs composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Theatrical and Non-theatrical business was also done well. The budget for the film is said to be around 300 crores and Rajinikanth’s remuneration is reported be a whopping 125 crores.
The producer of the film is also believed to be already in table profits with all the business deals done till now. Currently, Lyca Productions is in a big crisis with their recent film, Indian 2 getting bombed big time at the box office. They need a big hit in the form of Vettaiyan. Rajinikanth is also looking to score a big hit after his earlier blockbuster, Jailer.
Vettaiyan may have the advantage of Dussehra holidays currently underway till this weekend. The film must gross more than 300 crores worldwide to register as a hit. But going by the advance bookings status, Vettaiyan openings are not that encouraging. We have to see what talk the film picks up on the opening day to perform well.
