Rajinikanth’s Health Update, Medical Bulletin

Rajinikanth was hospitalized in Chennai on Monday, September 30. The hospital has now issued a medical bulletin regarding his health.The bulletin, provided by Apollo Hospitals , stated that a stent was placed inside the actor’s heart to shut off the bulge. It also stated that Rajinikanth was doing well and will be freed from the hospital in a few days.

The complete bulletin stated, “Mr. Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, on September 30, 2024. He developed a bulge in the main blood channel leaving his heart (the aorta), which was addressed with a non-surgical transcatheter procedure. Dr. Sai Satish, a senior interventional cardiologist, put a stent in the aorta to totally seal off the bulge (endovascular repair). We’d like to inform his supporters and fans that the procedure went as anticipated. Mr. Rajinikanth is stable and performing nicely. He should return home in two days (sic).

Earlier, the actor’s wife, Latha Rajinikanth, informed the media that “all is well” but declined to reveal any further information regarding his condition. The 73-year-old was admitted to the hospital after allegedly complaining of stomach ache. Meanwhile, the actor is preparing for the release of his upcoming flim Vettaiyan. TJ Gnanavel directs the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a key part. It is scheduled to hit theaters on October 10. The superstar is also working on his second film, Coolie.
