Superstar Rajinikanth’s fans had high expectations for his 75th birthday today, but the day ended with no special announcement or new teaser. The fans are happy with the re release of Padayappa, but they were disappointed as bo new updates came today.
Many believed that the teaser for Jailer 2, along with its release date, would be revealed on the occasion of Rajinikanth’s 75th birthday. Fans also expected an official announcement about Thalaivar 173’s director under Kamal Haasan’s production.
However, to the disappointment of Rajinikanth’s fans, no updates were released. The only relief on this milestone birthday was the re-release of the iconic film Padayappa, which opened strongly in Tamil Nadu theaters.
The sequel to Jailer will be released in theaters in summer 2026 and there are huge expectations on the film among fans and other neutral audiences.
