Rains hit Saripodhaa Sanivaaram collections hard

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram starring Nani released this Thursday. The film received good word of mouth and had a good opening day at the box office. The team expected the film to perform very well but it is not happening. The film is doing exceptionally well in Overseas and Rest of India markets but in Telugu states the numbers are a bit worrying. The ongoing rains in Telugu States have also hit Saripodhaa Sanivaaram collections hard.

The film just collected a share of 9 crores for two days in Telugu States. The film also had a less opening than flop films, Double Ismart and Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu states which is very shocking. Apart from this, the ongoing heavy rains have also impacted the collections a lot. These have affected the weekend collections which is very much needed for the film.

The breakeven mark of Telugu States is at 30 crores. The film has to post very big numbers in the weekend but the Weather forecast indicates that there would be heavy rains for another 2-3 days. This is a very bad news for both the buyers and distributors. We don’t know if the film picks from the Monday till the second weekend. The GOAT starring Vijay is slated for release on September 5th. So, we have to see how Saripodhaa Sanivaaram sustains.
