Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth released recently and presented the Actor as an encounter specialist Police officer. The film had a good message but somehow failed in reaching the bix expectations from the fans and Audience. Vettaiyan managed to gross more than 210 crores in the 1st week. The Director of the film, T.G. Gnanavel said that he has a prequel plan for Vettaiyan.
The film, as said, still needs to collect more than 100 crores from now on to achieve Hit status. But the Director’s interest of exploring a prequel for Vettaiyan looks surprising. He said that he was very much interested in the prequel. He also opined that with the title Vettaiyan: The Hunter, the prequel could delve into Athiyan’s journey.
We have to see if Rajinikanth accepts this plan. Currently, Tamil Nadu and mainly Chennai are witnessing huge rains due to they cyclone effect. Vettaiyan’s prospects have been damaged by this incident as well.
