Director Prashanth Varma, who rose to fame with the massive success of Hanu-Man, is now in a big controversy over the advance payments he received from several producers.
According to our close sources, for the film Hanu-Man, producers Prime Show Entertainments supported him in a very big way. The film went multiple times over the planned budget, yet they continued to support it.
The producers had even given him advances for his next commitments before Hanu-Man’s release. Originally, the film’s sequel, Jai Hanuman, was supposed to be made under Prime Show Entertainments, but the director signed the film under Mythri’s banner instead.
Prasanth Varma facing the heat from several producers
It is said that the director neither returned the advance amount nor proceeded with any further project with the production team. When the production team asked about the advance, the director reportedly said that the production house had wasted his valuable time and that they, in fact, should pay him for his time.
There is a huge buzz in the industry that director Prasanth Varma received multiple advances from different producers. However, the producers themselves do not have any clarity on when their films will start. Producers have been requesting him to return the advance amounts, but the director’s response appears to differ significantly.
Prasanth Varma needs to clarify the issue with producers with an official response
The main issue is that for every film, he is taking the advance amount as director, but later he informs the producers that he will be supervising the film, but not compromising on the planned remuneration.
With this, producers are seeing big troubles, according to the reports, and the response from the man in question, Prasanth Varma, is awaited in this regard.
