‘Rebel Star’ Prabhas has once again underlined his international superstardom; this time, it’s not a high-budget special effects film but a light-hearted romantic comedy, Mr. Perfect (2011). Bankrolled by ‘Dil’ Raju, the film featured Kajal Agarwal and Taappsee Pannu as the female leads.
Released amidst low expectations, this Prabhas-starrer has received applause from Japanese audiences, with multiple theatres delivering full houses. Celebrating their admiration for the actor, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their enthusiastic reactions. A fan in particular has come up with the anime-style character ‘Vicky’.
Despite its commercial success, Mr. Perfect had its own share of controversies. Shyamala Rani, a notable novelist in Telugu, alleged the makers of her work, ‘Naa Manasu Korindi Ninne’. She went on to claim the same in a local court in Hyderabad.
