A tragic accident has struck the sets of Prabhas and director Hanu Raghavapudi’s upcoming period war drama Fauzi. A production vehicle carrying unit members met with a serious road accident on Tuesday morning near Abdullapurmet on the outskirts of Hyderabad, leaving one person dead and five others severely injured.
The film, currently being shot around Ramoji Film City, has been progressing at a rapid pace. However, this unfortunate incident has cast a shadow over the entire production.
What Happened
According to reports, the accident occurred when a vehicle carrying production team members lost control near Abdullapurmet and rammed into a road divider at high speed. The impact was massive, leaving the vehicle badly damaged.
Out of six people travelling in the vehicle, one person died on the spot. The remaining five sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital for emergency treatment.
Police officials rushed to the accident site and have begun an investigation. Preliminary reports suggest overspeeding may have caused the mishap.
Shooting Halted
The tragic accident has left the Fauzi team in deep shock. Reports indicate that the film’s shooting has been temporarily halted following the incident.
