Tamil actor Vijay announced his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in February 2024, and his upcoming film, Jana Nayagan, was considered his last film. However, according to Mamitha Baiju, the political outcome will decide Vijay’s Cinema’s future.

Premalu fame Mamitha Baiju plays a crucial role in H. Vinoth’s Jana Nayagan (Jana Nayakudu in Telugu), and she talked about working with Thalapathy in a recent interaction.

Mamitha was recently asked about Vijay’s future retirement at the Kerala Carnival in Ireland, and she said, “One day, when we were shooting together, I casually asked him whether Jana Nayagan is truly his last movie. Vijay Sir candidly responded that it will depend on how the elections go. He said, We’ll see what happens.”

The actress also said at the event, “In the last days of shooting, I got very emotional along with everyone else, and on the final day, he got emotional too.”

So, the political outcome to decide Vijay’s Cinema’s future, according to Mamitha Baiju’s words, and the fans happily share her video on social media. 

H. Vinoth directs Jana Nayagan, which stars Vijay, Mamitha, Pooja Hegde, and Bobby Deol. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, and others star in key roles. On Vijay’s birthday, 22 June, the makers released a first glimpse of the film titled The First Roar. 

The glimpse’s visual style and Thalapathy Vijay’s screen presence in the police uniform impressed everyone, though Anirudh’s background score did not get much of a response.
