Petta and Good Bad Ugly Satisfy Fans but Miss Full Box Office Potential

The same can be said with The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The fanboy Adhik Ravichandran showed Ajith with the best looks and presence, and fans have celebrated the film, and it has collected 230Cr+ gross worldwide till now. Even though it became Ajith's biggest grosser, the film failed to show his full box office potential. So, Petta and Good Bad Ugly movies were able to satisfy fans but missed their full box office potential. The main reason is that both films work massively for fans, but for neutrals, both films are, at most, average, and content-wise, they felt they could have been much better.

Fanboys as directors always show their best levels and bring back the vintage presence of star heroes on the screen. Petta is a fan service movie made by Karthik Subbaraj for Rajini, and director Adhik Ravichandran also did the same for Ajith with GBU. However, Petta and Good Bad Ugly movies were able to satisfy fans but missed their full box office potential.

Karthik Subbaraj, the biggest admirer of Rajinikanth, made a film, Petta, which pleased the fans in a very big way, and fans celebrated the film massively. But if we look at the box office, the film did well, but it is not a record-breaking hit like Jailer. Petta did around 225 Cr gross worldwide, which is not the full potential of Rajinikanth.

If we look at some other fanboys, Lokesh Kangaraj gave Kamal Haasan a grand comeback with Vikram, which broke most of the box office records for Tamil cinema at that time. Atlee also scored big blockbusters with Theri, Mersal, and Bigil and took Thalapathy Vijay to the next level.
