Roshan Meka, the Telugu actor, is now making waves in not only in the Telugu film industry but in the Malayalam cinema as well. As he grabs the role of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s son in the highly anticipated movie Vrushabha, which is touted to be an epic action-entertainer set to be released pan India wide, Roshan has caught the attention of everyone.
While the Telugu audiences are delighted that Roshan has received such a massive opportunity so early in his career, the Malayalam film folks are checking this young actor’s background and trying to discover who he is in all aspects and how come he got a chance to work with a big star like Mohanlal.
We know that Roshan is the son of renowned actors Srikanth and Ooha. So, it is obvious to him to develop an interest in films as he is born into a family which is deeply rooted in the world of cinema. Roshan Meka first appeared as a child artist in the film Rudramadevi (2015), playing the role of the young Chalukya Veerabhadra. However, it was his first role in Nirmala Convent (2016) that won him the recognition, as he won the prestigious SIIMA Award for male debut in Telugu.
Pelli SandaD (2021), a spiritual sequel to his father’s Pelli Sandadi, was Roshan’s next film as he stepped into the shoes of a proper commercial hero and became much known to everyone with the success of the film. His acting abilities and ardent desire to excel in his craft have made him a notable actor in the early days of his career itself.
Directed by Nanda Kishore and Produced by Abhishek Vyas, Vrushabha is an intense dramatic story between a father and his son, and promises to have a massive ensemble cast, the state of the art VFX, and high-octane sequences to enthrall fans.
Presented by Connekkt Media and Balaji Telefilms in association with AVS Studios, it will go on floors later this month, and will be released in 2024, on over 4,500 screens worldwide in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi.
