Peddi Crosses ₹320 Cr Worldwide in 2 Weeks; Telugu Dominates

Ram Charan‘s sports action drama Peddi has crossed the ₹320 Cr mark in worldwide gross collections within two weeks of its theatrical release. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and featuring an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jagapathi Babu, the film released on 4th June 2026 across multiple formats including IMAX and 4DX.

Two-Week Box Office Breakdown

The Peddi worldwide gross collections reveal a clear pattern of regional dominance. The Telugu version has been the primary revenue driver, while other language versions have underperformed significantly.

VersionGross CollectionShare of Total
Telugu Version₹290 Cr+90%+
Other Versions₹30 Cr~10%
Worldwide Total₹320 Cr+100%

This distribution indicates that more than 90% of the film’s collections have come from the Telugu version, meaning Peddi has performed more like a regional film rather than achieving true pan-India appeal. The Telugu version's dominance mirrors patterns seen in other major Telugu releases where regional audiences form the core revenue base.

Breakeven Target and Third Week Challenge

For the Telugu version to achieve breakeven status, Peddi needs to collect ₹375 Cr+ in worldwide gross. With ₹320 Cr already collected in two weeks, the film requires an additional ₹55 Cr+ to reach this crucial milestone. This makes the third week critical for the film’s commercial success.

The gap between current collections and breakeven means the film needs sustained momentum through its third weekend and weekdays. Historical trends show that third-week drops can be significant for most releases, making this a challenging target.

To boost performance and attract audiences back to theaters, the makers have added six minutes of new footage this week. It remains to be seen how these additions work in the film’s favor. The new footage strategy aims to generate fresh buzz and encourage repeat viewings, but the film definitely needs a super-strong third week to get closer to breakeven, at least in the Telugu version.

The failure to generate significant numbers in other language versions highlights the challenge of achieving pan-India success. While the Telugu performance has been solid, the limited appeal in Hindi, Tamil, and other markets has restricted the film’s overall potential.
