From pre-bookings to collections, there has always been a competition between NTR’s Devara and Pawan Kalyan’s OG among fans and audiences as well, especially for the USA collections.
Pawan and Sujeeth’s film takes the lead in North America, but in its full run, NTR and Koratala Siva’s film is likely to stay at the top, as it has good support from the Hindi language, whereas “They Call Him OG” Hindi numbers are minimal.
For comparison, Devara’s full North America run grossed $6.07 million, where the Telugu version contributed $5.5 million, and other languages contributed $570K.
For OG, the total 11-day North America collections are around $5.47M, with the Hindi version contributing just around 43K.
If we see only the Telugu version, OG comes very close to Devara, which collected $5.5M. Pawan Kalyan’s film’s total numbers as of now are at $5.43M, and it needs just around 70K to beat Devara, which is definitely possible this week.
But the lead of Pawan’s film over NTR’s film will be very marginal, as we can see that the other languages have given Devara Part 1 a comfortable lead.
At the end of the day, both Devara and OG are huge profitable ventures in the USA.
