Kantara Chapter One is rocking in Karnataka, and it had a sensational opening weekend with close to 80 Cr. Today the film holds extraordinarily and will easily do double-digit gross collection.
The trade expects the film to join the 100 Cr club by tomorrow itself, which will be the fastest ever for a Kannada film, making it an extraordinary feat.
No film in Karnataka has collected 200 Cr gross, but Kantara Chapter 1 looks to break that, as today’s hold suggests that it is easily achievable, and if the hold continues, it could even target the 250 Cr milestone.
Undoubtedly for Kannada audiences Kantara is a bigger brand even than KGF. For other language audiences, KGF2 is bigger than Rishab Shetty’s spiritual action drama. The numbers of both films also reflect the same notion.
