Kollywood films though performing well in Hindi Belts have been compromising due to the OTT offers and deal. They are opting for a less theatrical window there. Leo starring Vijay did well in Hindi market but Viay’s current film, The GOAT didn’t release the film in Hindi Multiplexes because of 4 week OTT deal. But it is now learnt that there will be no OTT compromise for Kanguva, one of the most awaited big budgeted films of Kollywood.
The GOAT opened well and if there was a multiplex release then the film could have opened very well in Hindi market for sure. But the team, as said has missed this chance. The team of Kanguva has confirmed that the film will release across all chains in Hindi Belts as a proper Pan India release. The film and team have also made an 8 week OTT window period so it will release in huge number of screens in all languages.
The team of Kanguva has also confirmed that the film will definitely release in 2024. After Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth deciding to clash with Kanguva, the team has decided to postpone the film to some other date. It is also learnt that the film will release in 2 months. Official announcement on this will be out very soon.
