Filmfare Awards South 2024 have been presented to the films released in 2023 yesterday. Dasara starring Nani grabbed major Awards followed by Baby and Balagam. Surprisingly, No Tollywood big star film secured a major Award. Last year saw Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi and Prabhas releasing their films but none of these films managed to go big in Filmfare Awards.
Nani won Best Actor Award for his performance in Dasara. Balagam directed by Venu secured the Best Film Award surprisingly. Venu also grabbed the Best Director Award for Balagam. Keerthy Suresh won the Filmfare Award for her performance in Dasara. Baby too grabbed many awards in the segments of Best Actress (Critics), Best Film(Critics), Best Music Director. These two small stars’ films making big in Filmfare Awards will be a delight to both the teams.
This is seriously shocking as Veerasimha Reddy starring Balakrishna and Waltair Veerayya starring Chiranjeevi became big hits which released during the Sankranthi Season. Aadipurush starring Prabhas too made noise with its VFX works. None of these films got any award in any major segment which is a disappointing news for the fans and audeinces. Only Ravi Teja who played a supporting role in Waltair Veerayya managed to get Best Supporting Actor Award.
