The Telugu Cinema Box Office is not having good days as the movies are becoming failures every week. Last weekend, Akhil Akkineni’s Agent was released amid massive expectations, but the film disappointed everyone and buyers put their hopes on this weekend’s releases, which are Gopichand’s Rama Banam and Allari Naresh’s Ugram.
However, the hopes of the buyers did not become true as both the movies have turned into disappointing outings for the buyers as they failed to meet the audiences expectations. Because of new releases getting rejected, the hard times continue for the buyers. This is a very bizarre situation because generally summer is considered as a big season for the movies.
The opening day collections for Ugram are in the range of 80 Lakhs, leaving very little dent at the box office. Whereas, Rama Banam is off to an even poorer start. The 1st day share collections of Rama Banam are expected to be below 1.5 crores. Ugram is valued at 5 crores, while Rama Banam’s theatrical rights are valued at 15 crores. Both the films will need to saw a big jump in the collections on the weekend, which also looks unlikely.
Mirnaa Menon played the female lead in Ugram, an intense cop drama which deals with missing cases’ that also has Shatru, Sharath Lohitashwa and Indraja playing other important roles in the film. The film has its dialogues written by Abburi Ravi and shot by Siddharth. J and it was edited by Chota K Prasad and has its music composed by Sri Charan Pakala. Ugram movie is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner of Shine Screens.
Gopichand’s Rama Banam is directed by Srivas in which Dimple Hayati plays the female lead, while Jagapathi Babu and Khushbu appear in key roles in. Bhupathi Raja has written the story for this movie, while the tunes are composed by Micky J Meyer.
