The film has collected more than 110 Cr gross worldwide and ended its run at the box office. Its OTT rights were bagged by Netflix for a record price in Balakrishna’s career, and the popular OTT platform officially adds Akhanda 2 to its library and updates this Friday as a streaming date. The movie maintains the 28-day theatrical window for OTT streaming.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is about a big biowarfare attack on India’s Kumbh Mela, planned by a mean Chinese general and a corrupt Indian politician, which causes a deadly virus. But then, a smart scientist, Janani (Harshaali Malhotra), makes a vaccine, but people are after her. So, the awesome Aghori warrior Akhanda (Balakrishna) comes out of hiding to save her and the country.
