The Kalki team has officially declared that this Nag Ashwin project has reached 1000 Cr milestone But in reality, it’s still not past 900 Cr yet.

In his Instagram story, the Kalki director celebrating the film’s success said that he as proud of the way the film performed “without blood, gore, obscenity and provocative content.“
This is being seen as a direct dig towards Sandeep Reddy Vanga whose Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor was a blockbuster success and achieved extraordinary box-office figures. Animal was criticized by some critics and audience for its depiction of bloodshed and over-the-top violence and sexism.
Definitely Animal is a bigger hit than Kalki in terms of recovery, and return on investment. Animal collected Rs 900 Cr gross but they did not exaggerate the numbers for Rs 1000 Cr milestone.
