Swathi Reddy and Naveen Chandra starrer Month of Madhu was released on Aha on November 3rd and has received an excellent response from netizens. The film was released in theatres on October 6th to mostly positive reviews with special applause for Swathi’s performance as Lekha. The theme of married life and a woman’s life after marriage were greatly appreciated and those who couldn’t catch the film in theatres, are now sharing rave reviews about the film on social media.
Usually, films that mostly which deal with sensitive concepts will not work at the box office. A major reason for their cold performance in theatres is because of their slow narration and in theatres audience always wants an engaging screenplay with strong emotions.
Light-hearted films with slow screenplay mostly fail to draw the audience to the theatres and something similar happened with Month of Madhu. While it did not work as well as expected in theatres, it’s doing wonderfully well on OTT and the movie is trending on top of Aha streaming charts.
Written and directed by Srikanth Nagothi, Month of Madhu also stars Naveen Chandra and Manjula Ghattamaneni. Yaswanth Mulukutla has produced the film under the banner of Krishiv Productions and Handpicked Stories.
