Owing to the festive season, the three major Diwali releases, Amaran, KA, and Lucky Baskhar, had a solid opening weekend. All three movies received strong word of mouth and positive reviews, leading to strong box office performances over their first weekend. However, the real test for any movie lies in its weekday performance. Let’s find out how KA, Amaran, and Lucky Baskhar fared on Monday.
KA Monday Box-office performance
This Kiran Abbavaram starter was well appreciated for its technical values and sharp writing. After a strong weekend, KA had an okayish Monday box-office performance. The film has already reached its breakeven mark and any further collection would lead to profits. After 5 days, KA has collected a solid Rs 22 crores at the box office and emerged as a hit.
Amaran Monday box-office performance
Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starter Amaran had a strong and steady Monday with the film registering good occupancies in especially in Tamil Nadu. The biographical drama has already crossed Rs 100 crore mark in India and Rs 150 crores including overseas numbers. It is the first Rs 150 crore grosser from Sivakarthikeyan and will hit the Rs 200 crore mark by the weekend with chances of the film crossing the 250 crore mark also being high.
Lucky Baskhar Monday box-office performance
Despite positive reviews, this Dulquer Salmaan starter continued to underperform in Telugu territories. On the other hand, the film is going super strong in Tamil and Malayalam territories and did good numbers on its first working day. The strong performance in Tamil and Malayalam is driving good numbers for the film. It has crossed the 50 Cr gross mark in 5 days. We need to see how the film does till the weekend and whether positive talk can bring a revival over the weekend numbers in Telugu states.
