Recently, a large size controversy has erupted in the Malayalam Film Industry, also known as Mollywood. The Government there has constituted a committee named Hema Committee to publish a report about the atrocities meted out on women in the Industry. This has caused a big damage to the reputation of Mollywood. The Industry’s Top star and Legendary Actor, Mohanlal is now facing the tremendous heat of Hema Committee report.
Mohanlal heads the Actors Association body of Mollywood known as AMMA. He along with other members have resigned recently after the Hema Committee report submission. The body was also dissolved and new one will be constituted soon. Mohanlal attended a private event yesterday and was asked about the Hema Committee report by the press reporters. The Actor got irked by this evidently.
Mohanlal said that the whole film Industry was answerable but only the Actors Association body was blamed. He also said that the body couldn’t address every issue. He was possibly not okay with the allegations the body received and expressed his dissastisfaction with the unfortunate blaming by media and people. We need to see how things turn up in the future regarding this committee report in Mollywood. Actress Samantha too demanded the same kind of a committee for Tollywood as well after these incidents.
