‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi was snapped boarding a flight to New Delhi today. Reason? You guessed it right! The legendary actor is all set to receive the prestigious ‘Padma Vibhushan’, India’s second-highest civilian award.

As officially announced by the government . of India, Chiru will be presented by Droupadi Murmu, honourable president of India, for his outstanding service to the field of Telugu cinema. In a career spanning four decades, he has starred in over 150 feature films, predominantly in Telugu, along with a few in Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada.

Regarded by many as the ‘Undisputed Face of Telugu Cinema’, Chiranjeevi is an absolutely deserving choice for this honour. Venkaiah Naidu, Vyjayanthimala, Padma Subramaniam, and Bindeshwar Pathak (posthomous) are the other candidates who’ll receive Padma Vibhushan alongside him.
