A direct sequel to Geethanjali (2014), Geethanjali Malli Vachindi (2024) is a horror comedy entertainer with Anjali and Srinivas Reddy reprising their roles from the original. Upon release, the film received negative reviews from audiences and was expected to bomb at the box office.
However, the film is now available for streaming on ‘Aha’ in Telugu. Directed by Shiva Turlapati, it also stars Satyam Rajesh, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, and Sunil. Notable writer Kona Venkat co-wrote the screenplay along with Bhanu Bhogavarapu.
Geethanjali Malli Vachindi narrates the story of a film unit that moves into a haunted mansion, unaware of its history. Soon, they start to experience supernatural things that mimic their film script.
