Ritesh Rana’s Mathu Vadalara 2 had a good first weekend with a significant jump in each day’s figures. Day 3 was the best day for the film in India. The film has collected Rs 16 Cr gross amounting to around Rs 7 crores share worldwide for the 1st weekend.
The breakeven is at around 20 Cr gross and 80% of recovery has already been done on 1st weekend. Mathu Vadalara 2 is now heading towards a clean Blockbuster status. The film is expected to have a good 2nd weekend as well as no interesting films are releasing this weekend.
Rithesh Rana and the team have already confirmed Mathu Vadalara 3 with plans to take the franchise to a bigger level. Mathu Vadalara 2 starred Sai Simha, Satya, Faria Abdullah, Sunil, Jhansi, and Vennela Kishore among others. The crime comedy’s first part was released in 2019 and went on to become a major hit.
Satya was a major attraction in the first film and he continued the same level of performance in the sequel as well. He received excellent reviews for his Yesudas character and stood as the film’s biggest selling point.
