Director Mari Selvaraj has confirmed that the writing process for D56 is turning out to be bigger and tougher than any of his previous works. The film’s shoot is planned across multiple countries, indicating a large-scale international production, marking his first-ever historical war film.
Dhanush is said to be portraying one of the most powerful and challenging roles of his career in his 56th film, which is currently in the pre-production stage.
Before this, Dhanush will work with Amaran fame Rajkumar. After this, he will start filming with Mari Selvaraj, which is likely to go on floors in the summer of 2026.
