According to the reports, Mahesh Babu told the ED he can’t attend questioning on April 28 because of film commitments. He asked the ED to move the inquiry to a later date. Mahesh’s legal representatives are in contact with the ED. Mahesh Babu requests the ED to postpone questioning.
On April 16, the ED (Enforcement Directorate) conducted raids at Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group offices. They discovered documents related to illegal transactions totaling 100 crores and seized 74.5 lakhs in cash.
As said above, the legal team of Mahesh will meet the ED officials soon to discuss this issue. According to ED, Mahesh earned Rs 5.9 crore from endorsements: Rs 3.4 crore by check and Rs 2.5 crore in cash, and the cash payment has come under scrutiny.
Mahesh is currently busy filming SS Rajamouli’s movie, which is why, according to him, he cannot attend the session. His lawyers are seeking the ED’s approval for a new date.
The ED claims Sai Surya Developers persuaded people to invest in money laundering schemes disguised as promotions, resulting in a notice to Mahesh Babu.
