Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most hotshot directors of contemporary Indian cinema; his last theatrical release, Leo (2023), was a humongous blockbuster at the box office. Basking in his success streak, he’s currently working on a script for ‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth, which is a stand-alone film and not a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). After this, he is committed to directing Kaithi-2, Vikram-2, and a Rolex spin-off film.
Prabhas, on the other hand, also have multiple releases lined up, such as Kalki: 2898 AD and The Raja Saab & Salaar: Part-2, Shouryaanga Parvam. Considering the jam-packed schedules of the actor and director, their collaboration is likely to take shape after three years. However, this is a huge film, and fans are already into a frenzy.
Banglore-based KVN Productions is rumoured to be bankrolling this project. Today, on the occasion of Kanagaraj’s birthday, the production house wished the director from their official Twitter handle, which is decoded as an official confirmation of the project.
