Lokesh Kanagaraj, the young director, is one of the star directors of South Indian Cinema. He has made a special brand and image for himself in a very short time. But he had given a shock to his fans by saying he will quit movies after making 10 films. Everyone expected it might be a just normal statement, but he has once again confirmed his decision about quitting movies.
Lokesh’s upcoming film, Leo, is already his 5th film, and he will not take much time for cinemas and most likely he will finish other 5 films in next 5 – 6 years and is planning to quit the films completely as per his statement.
Meanwhile, the questions about Vijay’s Leo kept following director Lokesh Kanagaraj wherever he goes. Especially, the one ‘Whether Leo is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe?’ is shot at him at all his public appearances. Having been asked again during a recent event in Chennai, Lokesh said that everything will be clear in three months. “There will be nothing else to tell if everything is said now,” he told the fans. The director gave hints about the character of Trisha in Leo.
A Trisha fan asked Lokesh to do no harm to Trisha’s character in the movie, and Lokesh smiled, “Nothing will happen to her. Don’t worry.” The concern of the fan is understandable because Lokesh is famous for killing his characters horribly. Gayathri Amar (Gayathrie) in Vikram faced a similar fate, where she was beheaded by Sandanam (Vijay Sethupathi). However, now Lokesh has assured that Trisha’s character won’t be ending up in Leo in a gruesome way.
The audio launch of Leo is set to take place in September, as confirmed by Lokesh. When asked if the event will happen in Madurai, he said, “We have just completed the film. Nothing has been decided yet.” He was also asked if he was prepared to team up with Vijay for the third time, and Lokesh replied: Of course. “He just has to give a sign, I will.”
