Amaran’s blockbuster run has been a great news for Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, their fans and the entire movie unit. Apart from this, the film has also ensured great profits for distributors in all regions. Amaran, however has created a peculiar legal trouble for the makers.
V.V. Vaageesan, an engineering student from Chennai, has sent a legal notice to the makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran for using his phone number in the film. The student has been getting continuous calls on his phone leading to great frustration.
The student, Vaageesan first sought a solution by posting on social media, tagging the film’s director, Rajkumar Periyasamy, and the lead actor Sivakarthikeyan. However, when his requests went unnoticed, he decided to take legal action. He has demanded Rs 1.1 crore in compensation for the “untold hardships and mental agony”.
