Lavanya Konidela Tripathi, actor Varun Tej’s wife and daughter-in-law of Megastar Chiranjeevi, strongly defended the veteran actor after a Tamil journalist attempted to troll him on social media.
Recently, Chiranjeevi and his family shared joyful news that Ram Charan and Upasana were blessed with twins on January 31, 2026. What should have been a moment of celebration, however, was marred by online trolling.
The enthusiasm from Mega fans unfortunately turned into online trolls
The backlash intensified when Ram Charan arrived at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad to visit the newborns. While carrying his two-year-old daughter, Klin Kaara, he was surrounded by a massive crowd of fans. The incident drew criticism, with many condemning the fans’ behavior and pointing out that crackers were burst at midnight within the hospital premises.
Netizens also brought up an old comment by Chiranjeevi, where he had expressed a desire for a grandson to carry forward the family legacy.
Amid this, a Tamil journalist made a controversial tweet targeting Chiranjeevi, and Lavanya Konidela Tripathi stepped in and gave a strong response, following which the journalist reportedly deleted his tweet after facing heavy backlash from fans.
Lavanya’s Strong Response to Trolls Against Chiranjeevi
“I usually ignore tweets like this and let them pass on my timeline, but I didn’t expect it from you. This tweet is in extremely poor taste, turning a genuinely happy moment into something unpleasant. You clearly don’t know how he treats the women in his family, especially his granddaughters. Very few men can do even one percent of what he does, so it’s best not to comment on people you don’t truly know.”
