L2: Empuraan starring Mohanlal released amidst great hype and expectations among the audiences and fans. The film, however, ended in a major controversy with a few of its scenes getting criticism online leading to a big backlash. The team was alerted with this and decided to go for a re-censor.
The film has now been modified to a 24-cut for the original version. This is indeed a big chopping. This 24 cuts comprise of 2 minutes and 8 seconds of runtime in the film. This is really an unfortunate incident to the team. Mohanlal has already apologised for the inconvenience that was created.
The Antagonist’s name has also been changed in the revised censor. It is also learned that the revised version will be playing in the theatres tonight or tomorrow. The film, on the other hand is rocking the box office despite going through a controversy. The film has crossed 150 crores worldwide already and heading towards industry hit in Mollywood.
