Mahesh’s Khaleja was a disaster at the time of its initial release, 2010. However, the film built a separate fan base over the years, which is showing up on its re-release. Khaleja 4K sets new re-release records in overseas markets.
Khaleja 4K New Records Overseas
- First-ever film to sell over 10,000 tickets in overseas markets
- First-ever film to collect $100K in the USA
- First-ever film to collect ₹1 crore in overseas markets
With the announcement of the re-release itself, fans were heavily excited about this film’s return to big screens again. The advance ticket sales were superb, and the day 1 collections also came out excellent.
As said above, Khaleja 4K sets new re-release records in overseas markets. The film once again proved Superstar Mahesh Babu’s stardom overseas, and more is expected from his next re-release, Athadu.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Khaleja tells the tale of a common man fighting corporate greed. Raju (Mahesh) is a taxi driver who reaches a remote village in the North Andhra region called Paali, which incidentally is sitting atop billions of dollars’ worth of iridium.
