Karthi was last seen in Meiyazhagan/Satyam Sundaram in 2024, and his next film as a lead, Vaa Vaathiyaar, has been postponed to December 12th, according to the latest reports.
Directed by Nalan Kumaraswamy, the film was initially planned for a December 5th release, but now, Karthi’s Vaa Vaathiyar has been postponed for a week. Reportedly, some final works on the patch shoot are going on for the movie.
Karthi’s 27th movie, “Vaa Vaathiyaar”, is being marketed as an action-packed entertainer. An earlier teaser shows Karthi’s character, a police officer, jumping out of his car to join in the festivities of what appears to be a festival parade.
Krithi Shetty takes the lead role in the film, which also stars Shilpa Manjunath, Rajkiran, Anand Raj, and Sathyaraj in key parts. Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, PL Thenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, and Madhur Mittal round out the cast.
Santhosh Narayanan composes the music for the film, while George C Williams handles the cinematography and Vetre Krishnan takes on the editing.
