Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues to show strong hold at the box office after an impressive opening weekend. Today, the film celebrates two major milestones: entering the 400 Cr club and surpassing the collections of the first part, Kantara (2022).
The first part collected around 400 crore gross, and the figure has been crossed by chapter 1. The film needs to hold the same strong momentum, and a big jump on weekends is needed to become the biggest grosser of 2025.
Kantara Chapter 1 Full Run estimates stand at 700 Cr
Kantara Chapter 1 is maintaining a strong hold at the box office after its first weekend, surpassing 400 Cr. While reaching the 1000 Cr mark seems unlikely, current trade estimates suggest a maximum closing figure of around 700 Cr.
But if the film maintains strong legs at the box office with solid jumps during the weekends, there is some possibility to go to 800 Cr. Chhaava, with 800 Cr gross, is the biggest grosser of 2025, and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara prequel needs to aim for it.
