Before the release, the film did not have a big buzz, but because of the star cast and genre, it had a decent craze. Surprisingly, the film had a good start for noon shows in Telugu on its first day.
As the movie opened with decent WOM, with the 2nd half carrying good reports, everyone expected it to gather more numbers at the box office. But shockingly, it saw a drop on day 2 and did not pick up on Sunday as well.

Coming to today’s noon shows, the film completely goes down. This is unexpected. These trends prove that Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa’s buzz has been driven more by Prabhas than content.
The excitement among Telugu audiences was only because the Baahubali actor acted in a special role, despite the film having several other exciting elements.
As far as the content is concerned, the film, Kannappa, is certainly a decent watch with a good second half, but if it is still underperforming, it suggests that somehow, the audiences did not connect with the content.
