SS Rajamouli’s action blockbuster RRR is the biggest opener in the USA for Indian cinema. Released in 2022, it opened with a $3.4M opening for premiers. Now Kalki 2898 AD’s pre-sales have already crossed $1.6 Million for premiers and there are high chances for the film to break RRR premiere record.
If Kalki opens with a positive word of mouth, then definitely North America premiers+ opening day will be in the range of $5 Million. So far, only RRR has opened with a $5 Million opening day in America and Kalki has a high chance of joining this club.
Kalki has received its censor certificate and has been awarded with an U/A rating with the runtime being around 3 hours.
