Kaithi 2 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of Tamil cinema. A direct sequel to Kaithi (2019), it is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the man behind the highly-celebrated Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
As stated by the filmmaker himself, Kaithi 2 will feature all the LCU characters introduced so far, such as Rolex, Vikram, Leo, and, of course, Dilli. In simpler terms, it is the peak film from Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
Kanagaraj also confirmed that he himself will produce the future LCU movies, beginning with Benz, a film starring Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. He went on to state that a movie focused on Rolex is on cards. The writer-director has also reiterated that Coolie is not part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
