Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha was released in theaters two weeks ago with good expectations, but the film ultimately flopped at the box office, disappointing everyone who had high hopes for it.
The film stars Dulquer Salmaan and Bhagyashree Borse in lead roles, with Samuthirakani playing a crucial part along with Rana Daggubati. The Chennai premieres opened with very big reviews, and everyone expected that the film would easily do 100 Cr gross.
But the film takes a complete turn after the FDFS shows, and it received mixed word of mouth from audiences and worked only for a few sections of people, resulting in a big failure at the box office.
For 10 days the film’s worldwide gross is just estimated to be around 35 Cr gross, and it will end with around 40 Cr. The film crashed on weekdays after the opening weekend and did not see a jump on the next weekends either.
Overall, Kaantha turns out to be a flop at the box office. Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati believed so much in the content, and they also produced it, but the end result will surely disappoint them.
