The legal proceedings related to Jana Nayagan have faced another delay. The writ appeal filed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was not listed before the Chief Justice’s Bench of the Madras High Court for pronouncement of orders today.
As per the latest update, we will have to wait until tomorrow evening (January 22, 2026) to get clarity on whether the judgement will be delivered on Friday, January 23, 2026.

If the court does not pronounce the verdict on Friday, the next possible date for the judgement will be January 27, 2026 (Tuesday). This is because January 26 is a national holiday, and courts will remain closed on that day.
